The Upgrading your MCDBA Skills to MCITP Database Administrator by Using SQL 2005 (Exam 70-447) Course teaches students how to optimize and maintain database solutions using SQL Server 2005, including two or more of the following phases in the product life cycle: design, development, deployment, optimization, maintenance, or support. Upon completion of this course, students will be armed with the knowledge and skills to: define high-availability solutions, automate administrative tasks, define security solutions, monitor and troubleshoot the database server, design and execute deployments and define the infrastructure (such as storage, hardware, and number of servers or instances).

This course is intended for IT professionals who currently hold an MCDBA and work in the complex computing environment of mid-sized to large companies. The MCDBA certification is a prerequisite for this certification exam.
